Implants Treatment Options

Single Dental Implant

A single tooth implant is a single implant used to replace one missing tooth. The dental implant dentist attaches a titanium post into the jawbone of the missing tooth as a replacement for the lost tooth’s root. Following that, a dental crown is attached over the titanium post.

Implant-Supported Fixed Bridge

Implant-supported bridges are very similar to traditional bridges. However, instead of being supported by dental crowns placed over adjacent teeth, implant-supported bridges attach to small titanium posts embedded in the jaw. The number of posts placed will depend on the size of the bridge. They are also extremely stable, and you can depend on them to stay in place while you eat, speak, and smile.

Full-Arch Restoration

If you are missing all of your teeth on your upper or lower jaw, full arch restoration can improve your oral function, health, and appearance. This treatment plan involves the use of dental implants and a natural looking prosthetic to replace a full arch of missing teeth.

Benefits of Full Arch Restoration

If you are missing all of your teeth on your upper or lower jaw, full arch restoration can improve your oral function, health, and appearance. This treatment plan involves the use of dental implants and a natural looking prosthetic to replace a full arch of missing teeth.

Full-arch implants use a series of 4-6 dental implants to restore an entire arch of missing teeth. Once these implants have been placed and have healed, your dentist will make a set of permanent or removable implant-supported dentures that clip onto the implants.

Unlike traditional dentures, these dentures will never shift or move, and they look and feel completely natural. Full-arch implants also help strengthen and protect your jaw bone, preventing bone resorption after tooth loss.

At Professional Dental, Dr. Egbert and Dr. Ingoglia offer traditional dental implants and the All-on-4® method to secure dentures in place. Here, he discusses the benefits of full arch restoration, along with your treatment options.

Improved Stability

Implant-supported dentures feel and function like natural teeth. The prosthetic is exceptionally secure because it is attached to dental implants that have integrated with the jawbone. Patients who undergo implant surgery can speak, eat, and laugh without having to worry about their denture slipping out of place.

Maintains Jawbone Health

Dental implants are good for your jaw bone. When the roots of the teeth are missing, the jawbone tissue can degenerate. Dental implants stimulate jawbone growth similarly to the natural teeth, meaning your jaw will maintain its strength and density. A healthy jaw can prevent the formation of sunken cheeks and wrinkles that often result from tooth loss.

Improved Appearance

Replacing an entire arch of missing teeth with a natural looking prosthetic that has been designed to complement your surrounding facial features will improve your appearance. With the dental implants maintaining your jawbone strength, and dentures replacing your missing teeth, you can feel confident when laughing, smiling, and talking with friends and family.
